Tonle sap
 is cute lake with 5 provinces surounding As Siem reap,Battambang,Pursat, Kompongchnang and KompongThom province with fresh water flows from different river and Tibet of china and now China make the dike not allow water flows down to Cambodia and fish is losing from one day to one day because no place to breed and fishermen is much more developed can  manufactured the battery for carrying to get a shock fish and big denst net for catching or for example in 1998 many Cambodian soldiers use hand grenade and gun for the way catching the fishes and also from 1999 it is a big treatment of Thailand gave the prices very high for killos of fish sold for them and more giving free Plastic to use covering the fishes accidently in  Cambodia the invironment is corruption and are not much green of it and make the lake is getting more shallow from one day to one day. and right now Tonle sap can provide the tourists interestng places such as floating villages, floating forests and bird sanctuary ,Kompong Kleang village have been reserved by Unesco biosphere in 1997 the place where close to Phnom krom in chhong khneas village,south of siem reap province around 15 kilometre, has more than 500 family living on the draft boat made from bamboo that can exist for 5 years due to season, in rainy season moving up and dry season moving down following the water most of them rely on natural resource in that area as ( fish, forest, tourist..)  
Some people have money made a boat for participate with association boat for rental ,a few of them cutting wood make chuckle for selling and others can fishing 10 tones one kilometer for clients export to Thailand and Vietnam as neighbor country if fish left from selling they can make dry-fish, smoked-fish, fish-paste for eating in a long period during of prohibited fishing season. 
This lake flows from Tibet of china through bassac river down to Mekong river and then Tonle sap lake with 2500 kilometers x 12000 kilometers comprises of 6 province around as (kampong thom, kampong cham, Pursat, Battambang, Phnom penh and Siem reap province) which used to do the war between champ navy and Khmer navy in 1177 in the period of Angkor wat king so right now have curved bas- relief on the panel of gallery in Angkor wat and Bayon for showing the young generation known.
So, that is reason! Cambodian people always celebrated water festival in Khmer called
(Bon phchoom Ben ceremony) in october and gambling regatta, in night time floating the lantern.
This tour recommended doing when you have a break from temples; leisure sightseeing on boat trips takes a few hours only, cost only $10 for one person with entrance fee, Boat and Car but this tour have to run from 3 people up for booking at front desk tour.
